Frustrated by the way your stamped concrete patio has aged?
Wondering if there’s a way to restore it without tearing it out and starting over?
At Roe Painting, we’ve coated and restored hundreds of concrete surfaces over the past 25 years, and this system has consistently delivered outstanding results: Westcoat 11/10.
In this article (and the video below), we’ll show you exactly how the Westcoat system works, where it shines, and what results you can expect.
The Westcoat 11/10 system is a professional-grade concrete coating solution for indoor or outdoor environments. It’s known for its:
Unlike basic coatings or DIY kits, the 11/10 system is designed to bond deeply with the concrete surface to deliver long-lasting results (easily lasting 10 or more years).
This system is especially effective for restoring stamped concrete because it revitalizes both the color and texture without sacrificing strength.
This system is designed for both interior and exterior concrete. It is excellent for protecting concrete from spills and damage and improving the overall look of the concrete. Here’s where it performs best:
If the concrete is dull, damaged, or needs an upgrade, the Westcoat 11/10 system is one of the most reliable ways to restore and protect it while adding an elevated element of style and aesthetics.
Have severely damaged concrete? Check out NewCrete, an innovative solution that repairs major cracks and spalling (flaking) concrete to restore concrete to a stronger-than-new condition.
Every great concrete coating job starts with great prep. To ensure a long-lasting bond, we clean the surface thoroughly—removing dirt, oil, and old coatings. Depending on the space, we’ll use pressure washing or grinding to create the right texture.
If there are cracks or pits, we repair them with a specialized patching compound. This creates a smooth, even foundation for the coatings to adhere to—especially important when restoring decorative concrete like stamped finishes.
We apply Westcoat EC-11, a water-based epoxy primer that enhances adhesion and prevents peeling or lifting down the road. This is the key to ensuring your new surface stands up to moisture, foot traffic, and everyday wear—whether indoors or out.
Once the primer is cured (typically 6 hours), we roll on two coats of the SC-10 pigmented base coat. This layer adds strength, flexibility, and a consistent appearance. It also locks in color and texture, helping to bring stamped or decorative concrete back to life.
For stamped concrete restoration, we color-match the base coat to blend beautifully with the original design—or to create a fresh new look.
The final step is applying Westcoat’s SC-65 polyurethane sealer. This topcoat adds:
This sealer doesn’t just protect—it enhances the appearance and makes maintenance easy.
In high-traffic or commercial areas, we may apply an extra coat of SC-65 for added strength and durability.
The Westcoat 11/10 system is one of our go-to solutions for restoring stamped concrete. It revives color, texture, and durability—without replacing the slab. It’s also a great option for patios, garage floors, and pool decks where appearance and longevity matter.
Whether you are tired of faded concrete or looking to upgrade your surfaces, this system delivers.
Over time, your stamped concrete will naturally fade, crack, or lose its appeal—but that doesn’t mean it needs to be replaced.
Now that you’ve seen how the Westcoat 11/10 system works, you know there's a proven way to bring your concrete back to life—without starting from scratch.
